Let's Talk

I spend a fair chunk of my time talking.

Talking to people who spend far too much of their PRECIOUS time working in someone else’s office, making money for someone else, allowing someone else to live their perfect life - the life THEY wouldn't trade for anything.

Sure there are benefits. It's a good life.

You look “successful”. You've got the well-paid job, the respect of your colleagues, the big house and the nice car.

But you’ve also got the long work weeks, you're bored of the same old, the meetings, the personal sacrifice...

You're busy but you're NOT doing WHAT you want, WHEN you want, WHERE you want, HOW you want and with WHOM you want.

So we talk.

We talk about how life could be different. How it could be so MUCH better.

If you could ditch the corporate BS and live life on your terms.

We talk about how would that look?

How would that feel?

What would you do?

Imagine it for a minute.

How would it feel if you were able to design your life around the things that REALLY matter to you?

Where would you go?

Who with?

What would you do?

What wouldn’t you do?

But do you know what the BIGGEST objection is that people come up with when we have this conversation?

“The time isn’t right...”

And on the face of it, it sounds fair enough.

“I’ve just got to get to the end of this quarter” or “In the new year I’ll be set”

Then the time will be right.

But guess what?

The time is NEVER right.

Not how you’d like it to be anyway.

There will always be something you need to do before you can start concentrating on you. Before you can put YOU first.

There will always be some urgent pull on your time that makes it impossible to do exactly what YOU want...

Until you make the decision to look out for what is important to you. To do it your way.

Here's the thing...

You don't have to wait for permission.

Your boss isn’t going to rock up one day and say “Hey man, I think you’ve made me enough money now, why don’t you go and do it for yourself?”

Just like my boss didn’t wander up to me and say “Fraser, you’ve done enough long, arduous days now, you should go and build your life round the things that matter to you”

Of course he didn’t.

I had to choose my path. I had to stick to it and make it work. But boy was it worth it..!

Now I work 10-12 hours a week. At the beach, with an espresso in my hand.

I earn more than I ever did wearing a suit and tie.

I get to spend A LOT of time with my wife and kids. And to look after myself.

I travel the world doing what I want, when I want, where I want, how I want and with whom I want.

And YOU can do the same.

But you have to choose it. You have to decide that while the “time is never right”, it’s never wrong either.

The time, your time, is NOW.

But, it’s running out. Every day, your time gets shorter. And only you can decide how you spend it.

Long hours a week on the corporate merry go round.

Or

Life lived on your terms…living a life YOU wouldn't trade for ANYTHING.

So what’s it going to be..?
